Founded in 1997, the Prairie Brass Band is dedicated to the growth of the brass band movement in the Chicago area. Based in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Dallas Niermeyer, founder and director, retired from 35 years of teaching music. The band hosts the U.S. Open Brass Band Championships.
